† SIM RULES †
It is important that we follow the follow rules for the SIM as It covers many subjects that we find very important that each person should keep in mind. It will not only make things easier for everyone but also perhaps it will answer some questions as well. All of the rule sets that we have for OdN we treat seriously and we do not brush it off if there are people who try to back peddle and bypass. Most of it alone should be pretty understandable and should not be confusing. A lot of it as well can be deemed or considered 'basic knowledge' for most RP sims.
Character Creation
It is very important for a player to understand that when they fill out an application for a character on our SIM that they are saying "Yes this is the character I will be most active on." In means that you are completely happy with what you have submitted to us and that you will dedicate time to your character and let his/her story line blossom and keep you playing on them.
In OdN we will allow two characters max belonging to a person. Please respect this and do not try to go on other alts to skip around this. The common thing that people do not understand is that if you have rped with others around you for quiet a while on your main character. People will recognize your writing style even if your second character is presented on another alt. Even if you pose as the other sex or a sexless character. Some have mastered it to a great extent but it still does not help you in the long run.
While we are not forcing you to seclude your RP to one character as it is the reason we will allow you a secondary. But we want your primary character to be what you dedicate the most time and energy with. However if it is truly the case that you are no longer happy with your character and you have gone all paths of attempting to fix what you feel unhappy with you may drop the character. However before doing so you must make sure he/she/it ends their relationships or to make sure you end any current story lines with any other players that may be attached to them in some way. If it is a deep one that is with another person we ask you speak with that player or group a reasonable way of your character leaving or perhaps passing. This is done so that others have a closure to such and it is good to inform anyone who may miss the event so that they are not out of the loop.
We also ask that you notify the racial head (the lead) that you planning to drop said character. So that they may make plans to remove you from the group and adjust ranks accordingly. (Mainly so if you where once playing a character that held higher rank that included dice stacks.) Please attempt to send note card or contact them by IM. Last resort would be to use our email that we provide on the website that all staff have access too. After doing so this will require you to re-apply for a new character unless your secondary character is becoming your main and is already approved in our records.
With the two character rule in effect and if you have two characters. Your Main character may only hold any high IC rank that may have duties attached to it or perhaps out of character ones. Your secondary may only hold up to a basic working job. Our heads need active players willing to play such roles and be there to support the community for their group. Any questions or concerns may be asked to a staff member or an admin but we believe this is as simple as it needs to be explained.

Kidnapping & Capture
Kidnapping or being captured is normally apart of a lot of common storytelling or major plots. In this case players must agree to their own out out of character terms with the parties involved. Something that all sides will be OK with and that there will be no end drama over it. We believe that for the most part players should be able to agree on the capture or kidnap rules involving their character and another or perhaps a group involved.
However if no one can agree to a unique or custom agreement between parties you must revert to sim rules. If a person is kidnapped or captured. Up to three days with one dice roll every day with a chance to escape or break free. ( this is based on where the character is captured, if there are wards/tailsmen/ect involved.) This is also keeping in mind of the Wars/Talisman
If something happens during the scene and you are no longer comfortable please say so to the parties in the scene if it goes ignored please log and report to a staff member or admin.
